Musa acuminata Mint variegata is a rare, collectible banana plant with bright, cool mint variegation on large leaves. It features irregular streaks and sectors in shades of white and pastel green, giving the plant a unique, fresh look. Growth is slower than green forms, and variegation is sometimes unstable, making each piece unique. An ideal choice for collectors of exotic plants looking for a striking, rare specimen.

Musa Acuminata grows best in a bright, warm and sheltered place from the wind, as its large leaves are easily damaged. In season it can stand on a terrace or in the garden, but only in a location that provides plenty of diffused light.
The best time for planting or transplanting is late spring, when temperatures are already stably above 15°C. The plant then quickly starts vegetation and more easily tolerates a change of substrate.
The banana plant needs soil that is fertile, permeable and constantly slightly moist, but without stagnant water. A mixture of all-purpose soil with the addition of perlite or sand to improve aeration is ideal.
Musa Acuminata is not hardy, so for the winter it must be moved to a bright, cool room with a temperature of about 12-15°C. Watering is then kept to a minimum so that the plant can survive the dormant period without the risk of rotting.
